I was shocked to hear
this morning that democracy has been severely damaged in Sandwell by
my own Conservative Party, In scenes reminiscent of a North Korean
township, Conservative Party officials walked into Warley
Conservative Association and simply closed it down.
I am assured the
association had done nothing wrong and after knowing a number of them
for over 15 years, I believe them, they just did not want to be part
of a federation.
If you don t agree with
it, your out
This is a sad day for
local democracy, my contact also informed me the association had been
in operation for for over 60 years and they had not even been allowed
to continue party membership.

This comes at a time
when the party I love is disintegrating, with MPs and councillors
leaving to go to UKIP
I'll keep you all
updated on developments in Warley as I hear them
The Scottish have said
NO in a vote which saw 80% of the people turn out to vote giving a
result of
around 55%-45% , so
the Union holds and the £ is already trading higher
Politicians MUST take
note of what has happened here today, the people are fed up, David
Cameron must sit up and listen, this has been a very slim majority.
Only fools would say
this 55%-45% result is a success, it just proves almost half of the
electorate are SICK AND TIRED of politics and I have to question if the
Scottish are really fed up with the UK or fed up with the EU, the cross
party ground swell against the EU is all over the UK and I would not
be surprised if that 55- 45 figure would be even higher to leave the EU, if put to the vote across the rest of the Union,
Cameron needs to be
happy, after all the party is called the Conservative and Unionist
Party
and to preside over a
country without a union would have been unthinkable.
Sandwell Tory said
Cameron says it has
settled it for a generation , No chance. I believe Scotland only voted to
stay in the Union, its time to smell the coffee, a fresh look at Europe is needed and with party
conference weeks away, interesting times ahead
Milband and Clegg take note your fence sitting days are over
And Gordon for that speech with so much passion about the war , I owe you one
Let me start by saying
I firmly believe the Union should hold together in the Scottish
referendum, but the people are frankly so fed up and disillusioned by
politicians who persistently ignore the will of the people,
I fear
for the result.
No party has divine right to rule the people, I am
sick and tired of hearing "its the Will of Parliament", Politicians must
remember they represent the "WILL of the people" and they are MPs to do the
peoples work, how can localism work when 600+ Mps blindly follow
their own party's agenda, yet this happens in all the parties
Do as your told or the
Whip will get you,
Do as your told or your
out the party and you will not get reselected,
yet this happens in all
the main stream parties, especially with our EU referendum
They are all playing a
game again, What the people want they will not get, what they will
get is a promise and that's what I fear this time over Scotland
We now have elections
with a 30% turnout and dropping with the local Police election turn
out an appalling 9.8% all down to a distrust of the elected
Whats the point in voting ? they are all the same we have heard it all before
are just a few sayings come election time, yet the politicians simply don't get it
and as for a referendum
Labour are much more
cute they promise you a referendum then ignore it or say things have
changed
so you don't need a vote
Clegg as already posted
his parties colours No referendum
Cameron has promised a
referendum for so many years and even now its just a promised
referendum in the next
parliament in 2017
Remember this from 2009?
has now turned into this
to the surprise of many
Benn had it right
Sandwell Tory said
40 years ago I never
would have dreamt standing on the same side as Tony Benn to protect
this sovereign state but I do now
In his words
"The MPs
have no right to give away
our sovereign powers"
so 3 very naughty boys
, Cameron , Miliband and Clegg, with just a few days left to the
election, go north to try and salvage a mess
The wheels continue to fall off Miliband's band
wagon with 10 councillors leaving his party, its not known why, but accusations have
been made as to "personal agendas”
I hear next week’s executive Labour meeting in
Wrexham has been cancelled.
Meanwhile more Labour news with Labour suspending 4 councillors who all held
senior positions at Rotherham Borough Council.
Where Everyone Doesn't Matter
Sandwell Tory said
I agree with the suspensions, lets see what
happens when the dust settles and see if this mess
