Coming just after that wonderful

Doubling the cost of customer parking

Sandwell Council Have now

Reduced the trading hours in West Brom Market

Labour here's a clue !

YOU moved the bus station to the south side of Town

YOU raised parking cost to £4

Its a Massive walk from any of the car parks that YOU left open

Only Olympic sprinters can park on the high street, do shopping before Ticket Wardens get them

West Bromwich has an ageing population, Where can Blue Badge or Ring and Ride Park? 

If Traders don't open they don't make money
If traders don't make money they close

Sadly this is no joke to the market traders who have put the heart and sole into a business to eke out a living in a desolate town

We can then tax shop profits.
We can spend this tax on pretty paved floors 
if shops don't make money we don't get the tax

Tories Cut tax for Millions

On the 6th April 2013.we raised your income threshold, Your personal allowance will rise by £1,335 to £9,440 and we promise in 10 months it will be £10,000.

£10,000 before you pay income tax , that's an extra £700 in your pocket

Lowered your Council Tax

Under Labour your council Tax doubled, yes it doubled.  We Conservatives have helped Sandwell by giving them the extra money to Freeze council Tax for the last 3 years.
Sandwell Labour didn't tell you they had money from the Conservatives did they ?   
Did you think Labour would refuse  money ?

That's a Council tax cut in real terms by almost 10 %,

Petrol

Remember Labour's shocking Petrol price escalator ? When petrol was Guaranteed to go up?

We know Labour's petrol tax hikes hurt you and we have taken action to cut fuel duty, overall it has been frozen for 31 months.

Petrol is now about 10p / L lower than it would have been under HIGH TAX LABOUR.

Booze

We cancelled the last planned tax hike and actually lowered the price of tax on booze

Labour increased beer duty by 60 per cent

Pensions

Remember back in April 2000 when Labour raised the state pension by a disgraceful 75p?

The Conservatives gave the biggest ever cash increase to the Basic State Pension of £5.30

New Homes for Sandwell

Following the Labour Governments disastrous Housing Market Renewal (HMR) Pathfinders programme, which plunged local Sandwell housing into a major crisis, Conservative help is now at hand.

Sandwell was a pathfinder area,  were 1000's of your homes were bulldozed and a number never rebuilt. 

All over Sandwell areas of wilderness, some rat infested , where once homes stood and children played 

are still a mess almost 10 years after demolition and in some cases the land has become an area for illegal dumping, creating extra cost for the council and upset for residents who remain.

You may also recall this demolition of homes had a serious knock on effect to our schools causing low pupil numbers, so the council also demolished a number of schools.

Over 2500 Sandwell  primary and secondary school places where removed,

Only a few years ago West Bromwich High Street was called the golden mile, now after years of Labour control our once famous high street is famous again FOR EMPTY SHOPS

Your local Conservatives asked Labour to

OPEN UP the high street to vehicles allowing buses and taxi's and Blue badge holder to Shop
