Labour and the EU referendum

Doing the will of the people is the basis of democracy, local news papers run a online poll and 78% of replies say they want out the EU, your local Conservative MP's voted for a referendum, but most of Labour voted against, were is your representation ?

Sandwell Tory said
My heartfelt thanks goes to the 114 Conservative MPs, 12 Labour MPs and the 6 other MP's

132 MPs who did the WILL OF THE PEOPLE
but
277 voted against allowing you to have a vote on the EU.

so at the moment you will NOT GET A VOTE

Do Labour think they know what's good for you ?

If you feel strongly, why not write to your MP and complain?

Can you trust Labour with the EU ?

Can you trust Labour with the Economy ?

Labour donor wants EU referendum

Not only did we miss a triple dip recession, evidence from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) indicates we may never even had the double dip Labour were happy to sing about, Strangely we also hear a major Labour backer wants an in out vote and all this happens while 9 EU countries are in a mess as the Euro zone slips into its 6th Quarter recession, using the very same Policies Labour want us to use.

Sandwell Tory said
Ed, lets hear a policy ? your party is split down the middle on Europe, where we lead Labour follows. If we had taken financial advice from Labour, I fear we could now be looking at the same mess Labour's EU friends are in.
Its hard work repairing Labour's economic mess, but even a tiny growth is a lot better than a few years ago when our economy was severely contracting under Labour.
Our growth is as big the Germans and France is in a total mess.

We could always follow Labour's French Socialist friends and drive the Economy down hill so fast the rich leave and tax goes down, thankfully a lot have come here and now pay tax to the UK

even Alistair Darling considers the EU will be a mess for years

Do you think its Labour being so gloomy is what keeps them happy?

Will Ed back us with a referendum ? after all he said NO !

Have Labour run away from a Euro vote?

While the talk is about Labour's total inaction over a referendum on Europe, I was asked the other day which way would I vote on Europe, my answer I would vote to leave Europe tomorrow.

Lets look at what happened
The UK was a industrialised country, it had a number of problems with strikes and unrest but the UK had a Major Navy and armed forces with considerable trading to its Commonwealth partners

We controlled our North sea fishing,
All along the North Sea coast, 1000's of fishing boats made a living
our Steel was the best in the World
We had our own Coal production.
We had massive shipyards
We made our own passenger aircraft
We had massive semiconductor factories

The UK also had massive car plants producing Austin, Morris, Rover, Hillman, Ford, Vauxhall, Riley, Sunbeam, Jaguar, Landrover, Triumph, Wolesley, Rolls-Royce , to name but just a few,

Milestones
1973
Britain was allowed into European Economic Community, this was just to trade only this deal included giving away our historic North sea Fishing rights

1975
We had a Referendum over our EEC membership, this splits Harold Wilson’s Labour government, but after a massive campaign to keep us in, two thirds of voters opt to stay in the EEC

Remember this was a vote to TRADE WITH EUROPE not to be run by Europe
Then the EEC Directives Started, since then Laws, trade and almost everything we do is now controlled by Europe.

Sandwell Tory Said
Lets rule ourselves for the last 1000 years we did a good job, then talk to our old Commonwealth about trade and we should say SORRY for 1973 as we got it wrong

Labour's Death Tax III

Labour has been accused of plotting to remove the single person Council Tax discounts, currently if only one adult lives in a property the Council Tax is reduced by 25%. In a formal request to ministers, the Local Government Association (LGA) is calling for the power to end the 25 per cent discount.

Eric Pickles is quoted as saying:-

'There is clearly a well-orchestrated campaign being pushed forward by Labour councillors to target the most vulnerable.

Sandwell Tory said

Don’t you love Labour, you lose your partner live on your own and Labour come after you for money,

Sandwell have lowered the capital cut off limit for Council tax reduction (CTR) from £16,000 to £6,000, which does not leave enough for a good funeral

Ask yourself
Do Sandwell Labour want your saved up funeral money ?

Why did Sandwell refuse to pay the VAT back ?

Do you trust Labour with your Tax money ?

Sandwell VE day

Not a word, not a single word on what the 8th May or what VE day means, I'm please to hear there was a little section on local Radio and that’s your lot, have we forgotten what its about ?

 Remember this man ?

 Sir Winston Churchill

Sandwell Tory said
I have to wonder if the left wing no longer like the idea of British history being delivered in schools
for those that do not know
V-E Day means Victory in Europe Day , 8th May was the public holiday celebrated in 1945
in all of the Commonwealth countries to calibrate the end of the war in Europe
and the surrender of  Nazi Germany

Sandwell's Referendum

While Labour told you NO, we Conservatives are now openly discussing giving you a vote of the greatest importance, Do we take the UK out of Europe ?

Lord Tebbit has called for a date to be set for a EU referendum vote, but Lord Lawson has gone even further calling for the UK to leave the European Union.

Sandwell Tory said

To the younger ones out there we had our commonwealth a collection of countries from around the globe all trading with the UK which was much bigger than the EEC ,

We joined the EEC as a trade partnership? its said by some that our countries demise is directly proportional to the length of time we have been in the EEC
After all even Germans don't want thew Euro

References
Reference to EEC = The European Economic Community this is the organisation we joined to promote trade.
We the people of a sovereign state were not allowed a vote to change a trading alliance to allow a full political Union

Labour's Election Mess

Following the local elections, well respected Journalist Dan Hodges tweeted

not a very complimentary tweet
The Daily mail had a section on why Red Ed is doing so bad and this appears to be due to Red Ed going down the route of left wing politics

The Prime Minster said

Sandwell Tory said

Yet midway through a government which is having to make very hard decisions to repair the difficult financial conditions left by the last Labour Government, Labour's come back as been given a set back, poor Miliband is simply not getting there, even his brother walked out.

Or could it be that there are too many people still around that remember the last time Labour ran the country?

Yes Nigel Farage hurt all of the main parties, but only the Conservatives can answer the ideological questions of Europe, immigration, law and order, which Labour shy from, so let Red Ed march his team to the left the further left the better

Red Eds Radio 4 mess

You have got to listen to this, Radio Comedy just like it used to be, Tony, Spike, the Goons I'm sorry but
Red Ed beats you with this belly buster.

only one week from posting to listen to the  World at One

Its starts with small talk then , Ed said , We need to get borrowing down, I agree on that point, then he said , there’s a different way forward for the economy, Hmm I said

Your plans will increase borrowing ? Said the interviewer

Will you answer my Question, Will you answer my Question, said the interviewer

Then the interview became hilarious

Ed and the interviewer spent time discussing how Labour would borrow even more to help pay off
Labour's borrowing debt

Labour is still very slow to learn that Labour's borrowing helped get us in this mess

So Labour's big plan to help with the finance mess Labour helped create, was ?

Yes folks its to borrow even more money

Sandwell Tory said
You could not make this up ?
